How We Work /

Four ways in, depending on where you are.

The right engagement is usually the one that matches the current question, not the largest one available. If in doubt, begin with The Sense Check.

01 /

The Sense Check

A guided self-diagnostic for leaders who know something feels unclear but do not yet know where to begin.

Nine reflections. Three to five minutes. Your result appears immediately on the site.

Best when the shape of the problem is still forming, or when a founder wants a starting point before any conversation.

Well suited when /

  • /You suspect something in the business no longer makes sense.
  • /You want a private, thoughtful place to think before speaking to anyone.
  • /You want to arrive at a first conversation with a clearer question.

02 /

Sense Audit

See the business as the customer does.

A review of the customer-facing surface: social media, website, search experience, messaging, reviews, the enquiry process, the purchase journey and the service experience.

The audit identifies disconnects, friction and lost meaning, and returns a document that names them clearly rather than adding another list of things to do.

Well suited when /

  • /Marketing feels active but returns are inconsistent.
  • /You suspect customers are meeting an earlier version of the business.
  • /A rebrand or launch is being considered.

03 /

Sensemaking Session

A focused strategic conversation for a complex decision.

One or two working sessions. Suitable for founders who need to clarify a problem, evaluate a direction, challenge an assumption, prioritise competing ideas, or prepare for a rebrand, launch or change.

The session ends with the question named clearly, the options separated, and a first useful move.

Well suited when /

  • /A decision is on the table and the team is not aligned on what it really is.
  • /You want thoughtful challenge, not immediate validation.
  • /The next step is more valuable than a full engagement.

04 /

Strategic Sensemaking

A deeper engagement for a business entering its next chapter.

Possible areas: positioning, brand direction, customer experience, business clarity, growth questions, strategic alignment.

Not every project follows a fixed formula. The shape of the engagement is defined by what the business is actually trying to make sense of.

Well suited when /

  • /The business has evolved and the brand has not caught up.
  • /A next stage is beginning and the current direction needs to be re-examined.
  • /You value depth over speed.

The right work begins with the right question. The Sense Check is usually a useful place to find it.
